hello- are permits needed to replace a water heater?

Hi Angela:
In Clark County, permits are required for water heater installations.  If you do not live in Southern Nevada, then they are not necessarily required.  For example, Arizona does not currently require permits to be pulled for water heaters.  You can always check with your local building department if you are not a resident of Clark County.  Hope that helps.
