We want you to be informed about any service that is provided by our plumbers in Las Vegas, so we have asked and answered some FAQs on Drain Cleaning Hydro-jetting.

WHAT IS HYDRO-JETTING?

Hydro-jetting also can be referred to as water jetting.  It is the use of heavy duty equipment that pushes high pressure water through drains to clear out any debris clogging the pipes.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DRAIN CLEANING / HYDRO-JETTING?

It is an effective way to resolve a clog and assure that it will not re-occur. It is important to have clear drains and pipes to prevent water from backing up into the home which can definitely be resolved when using this technique.

IS HYDRO-JETTING EXPENSIVE?

The cost of drain cleaning / will vary depending on whether or not you have a clean-out in your home. Sometime a jetter will need to be ran through the roof which is a higher liability and therefore costs more to perform that service.

HOW DOES DRAIN CLEANING / HYDRO-JETTING WORK?

When a hydro-jetter is used, a commercial grade hose is filtered through the clogged pipe while projecting a force of water that has very strong pressure, pushing through whatever is causing the clog.

WHY WOULD I NEED DRAIN CLEANING / HYDRO-JETTING?

  • When a customer acknowledges that a stoppage (or a clog) is re-occurring in their home, we can assume there is something more happening in the pipes. Before running a sewer camera, the hydro-jetting equipment must be ran to clear debris.  Once the pipe is cleared, the sewer camera can clearly view what is causing the ongoing issue.  Then, the repairs can be made!
  • Sometimes a snake or an auger is not strong enough to push through the buildup and debris within a pipe. Grease is a common cause of clogged pipes so it is important to dispose of grease properly to avoid build up.
